Location

Gamble Bay holds a special place in our hearts. It’s a beautiful and peaceful place that we’ve returned to many times since we first met. Hillary grew up going to property on Gamble Bay that has been in the Swanson family since her Grandpa Ralph and Grammy Phyllis first purchased a cabin there as a place for the family to get some good rest and relaxation for generations to come.

 In September 2018, while on our way to camp in the Olympic National Park, we stopped at Port Gamble for the first time together so that Livio could see the sweet town and views. Even then, we were dreaming about the possibility of getting married on the grassy ridge one day. Surprise, it’s happening almost 4 years later!

The land in Port Gamble is the historic home of the people of the S’Klallam Tribe, known today as the Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribe. We honor and respect the past, present, and future wisdom of people indigenous to this area. We invite our guests to read about the history and culture of the Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribe.

Getting There

Port Gamble is on the beautiful Kitsap Peninsula. From the greater Seattle area, you can either take a ferry (from Edmonds to Kingston or from Seattle to Bainbridge Island) or drive around through Tacoma. When the summer 2022 ferry schedule is posted, we’ll share times here. Please allow plenty of time to catch the ferry on your way to the ceremony.

For our out-of-town guests there is a shuttle from the airport to Poulsbo, which is close to Port Gamble, but not all the way there.
